I Was Featured in Sullivan’s Island Stroll And Here’s What I Really Want You to Take From It

I’ll be honest, when I was invited to be part of Sullivan’s Island Stroll; my first reaction wasn’t excitement.

It was, “What do I actually want women to hear from me?”

Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned through years of coaching women through pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause, it’s this:
Most of us don’t need another “new year, new you” message.

We need permission to do things differently.

Why This Feature Meant More Than a Headline

The article focused on a gentler way to approach the new year, not restriction, not intensity, not burning yourself out by February.

That matters to me because it’s how I coach every woman I work with.

Strength training doesn’t have to be extreme to be effective.
Nutrition doesn’t have to feel punishing to be supportive.
And progress doesn’t come from doing more, it comes from doing what actually works for your body.

Especially when hormones are in the mix.

What I Shared (And What I Stand By)

In the feature, I talked about consistency over intensity and I’ll say it again here because it’s worth repeating.

Most women don’t need:

  • Harder workouts

  • Longer sessions

  • More discipline

They need:

  • Strength training that adapts to their life stage

  • A plan that evolves through pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause

  • Support that prioritizes long-term health, not quick fixes

When training works with your body instead of against it, everything changes, your energy, confidence, and how you feel day to day.

This Is the Kind of Fitness I Believe In

The work I do isn’t about chasing a version of yourself from 10 years ago.

It’s about:

  • Feeling strong in the body you’re in now

  • Building resilience through change

  • Letting go of the idea that fitness has to feel miserable to “count”

Whether you’re lifting for the first time in years, returning postpartum, or navigating perimenopause, you deserve training that supports you and not stresses you out.

If You’re Reading This and Thinking, “I Want That Too”

Good. That tells me you’re ready for something sustainable.

You don’t need a total reset.
You don’t need to start over.
And you definitely don’t need to punish your body.

You just need the right approach and the right support.

Being featured in Sullivan’s Island Stroll was an honor, but what matters more to me is this:
Helping women feel strong, capable, and confident in every season of life.

And that part? That’s just getting started.
